1 beaten egg 1 cup milk 1/4 cup melted shortening 2/3 cup sugar
1/2 teasp salt 1 teasp cinnamon 1 teasp lemon juice 1/4 teasp vanilla
2 cups sifted flour 3 teasp baking powder 1 cup peeled/chpd fresh peaches
Blend together the egg and milk, add shortening, sugar, salt, cinnamon, lemon
juice and vanilla. Sift together the flour and powder...fold in to the milk mixture
just until moistened. Fold in the peaches. Fill paper lined muffin tins 2/3 full.
This makes 1 dozen. Bake at 450 for about 15 mins. Cool for a few mins.
