1 cup firm pkd dark brown sugar       3/4 cup butter flavor Crisco

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter                2 cups + 2 Tablsp flour

1 teasp salt                                              1/2 teasp baking soda

1 1/2 cups quick oats                               1/3 cup water

1 cup strawberry preserves                  Preheat oven to 400, spray a 9x13 pan

Combine sugar, crisco and PB in a large bowl with an electric mixer until

well blended.  Combine flour, salt and soda and gradually add into the

creamed mixture with the electric mixer on low speed.  Stir in the oats with

a spoon, add water, 1 Tablsp at a time with the oats until well blended.  Press

half the dough into the prepared pan.  Top with the jelly/preserves, then the

rest of the dough....covering the preserves completely.  Bake for 25-30 mins

or until golden.  Cut into bars while still warm.
