1 Tablsp oil 1 onion, finely chopped 4 ribs of celery, diced
4 cloves of garlic, minced 1/2 teasp dried oregano
1/2 teasp salt fresh black pepper 1/2 cup catsup
1/4 cup water 1 Tablsp balsamic vinegar 1 Tablsp brn sugar
1 Tablsp dijon mustard
2 cups cooked brown OR green lentils - drained & rinsed
hot pepper sauce toasted hamburger buns
Saute onion and celery until softened, about 5 mins. Add garlic,
oregano, salt and pepper and cook for another minute. Stir in catsup,
water, balsamic vinegar, brn sugar and mustard. Transfer to slow
cooker. Add lentils and stir well. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or
on high for 3 hours. Season with salt and pepper, hot sauce and
serve over buns.
