1 pound lean grd beef 8 oz. grd pork 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated parmesan salt and pepper 1 egg, beaten
3 oz. Asiago cheese, cut into 12 cubes 1/4 cup flour 2 Tablsp oil
1 onion, diced fine 2 ribs celery, diced 2 carrots, peeled/diced
4 cloves garlic, minced 1 teasp dried thyme 1/2 teasp dried rosemary
28 oz. can tomatoes with juice, coarse chpd 1/4 cup tomato paste
Combine beef, pork, crumbs, parmesan, salt and pepper...add egg and mix,
then shape into 12 balls. Stuff a cube of cheese into each one & enclose.
Roll in flour until coated. Saute in hot oil on all sides, then put in slow cooker.
Combine remaining ingredients in skillet and heat to a boil, cook for a few minutes, add to crockpot cover and cook on low 6-8 hours.
