1/4 cup butter, softened      3/4 cup Splenda brown sugar     1/4-1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1 egg       1/2 cup dark molasses       1 teasp baking soda      2 teasp  grd ginger     1 teasp grd cinnamon

1/2 teasp grd allspice               1/8 cup grd cloves                  3 cups all purpose flour

Cream butter, sugar and 1/4 cup applesauce.  Add egg and molasses and blend well.

In a separate bowl, put all dry ingredients together and mix well, add into the creamed

mixture and blend well,  if needed add the extra applesauce.  Cover dough and chill for

2 hours.   Roll out to 1/8 " thick.  Cut with cutter and bake for 350 , 10-12 mins.  Cool and decorate!
