1 cup flour      1/4 teasp salt      1/4 teasp baking soda

8 oz. semisweet chocolate     3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup sugar      1 teasp vanilla      3 eggs

1/2 cup buttermilk      1 cup toasted chopped walnuts

Heat oven to 350, spray an 8" round cake pan with no stick spray.

Line bottom of the pan with waxed paper....spray the paper.

In a small bowl, combine flour,s alt and soda....set aside.

Microwave chocolate and butter in a medium size microwave safe

dish for 30 seconds, stir, the again for 30 sec.  Blend until smooth,

add in sugar and vanilla and mix well, then add eggs, buttermilk and

2/3 cup of the walnuts.  Stir in the flour mixture until just combined.

Pour batter into prepared pan.  Bake at 350 for 60-65 mins, or until a

toothpick inserted in the center tests clean.  Cool in the pan 5 mins, then

invert onto wire rack and cool completely.  Remove and discard paper.

GLAZE:   4 oz. semisweet chocolate and 1/2 cup heavy cream

Place chocolate in a small bowl.  Heat cream until just simmering, pour

over the chocolate and let stand for 4 mins....stir until smooth and glaze

the cake.  Pat the remaining nuts on top.  Chill until ready to serve.
