1/2 cup melted butter        1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans      1/4 cup corn syrup

Blend well, put into a greased or sprayed 9x13 pan - spread evenly.

In a large bowl, combine:

1 box butter pecan cake mix (dry)

1 cup sour cream

1/3 cup veg oil OR unsweetened applesauce

2 egg whites

2 whole eggs

1 teasp vanilla

blend well with an electric mixer on low speed, then on

medium speed for 2-3 minutes.  If batter is a little thick,

thin with just a little milk, blend well.  Pour batter over the

nut mixture and spread evenly.   Bake at 350 for 35 mins.

A toothpick inserted in the cake should come out clean.

Take out of the oven and flip onto a serving plate.

Serve warm.

Very Good Cake! Grease pan well.
