one large purchased angel food cake

small box strawberry gelatin          1 cup boiling water

1 pint fresh strawberries, cleaned and diced

1 cup heavy whipping cream        2 Tablsp sugar

Slice a 1" horizsontal layer off the top of the cake and set aside.  Hollow

out the remaining bottom layer of cake, making a trough that goes around

the entire cake.  The hollow should be centered inside the cake and not

go completely thru to the bottom.  Tear the cake pieces into small pieces

and put into a bowl.

Place gelatin in a bowl and dissolve with the water completely.  Add berries

and mix well, then add in the cake pieces.  Stir until thickened, if you need

to - chill until thick.  Spoon into the hollow in the cake, replace the cake top.

Whip the cream with the sugar until firm peaks....frost the cake!

Chill and enjoy!
