1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 cups firm pkd dark brn sugar 6 Tablsp cornstarch
2 1/2 cups whole milk 4 egg yolks, lt beaten 1 Tablsp butter
1 teasp vanilla 9" pie crust, baked
Preheat oven to 325. In a large heavy saucepan, combine sugar and the
cornstarch. Stir in milk and yolks....cook over medium heat, stirring constantly
with a wire whisk until it comes to a boil. Cook for 3 mins, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla....Pour into crust. Top with
meringue and seal edges. Bake for 23 mins. Cool and store in refrig.
