1/4 cup butter 1 cup pkd brown sugar
20 oz can pineapple slices - drain and reserve juice
6 oz jar maraschino cherries, drained
1 box Betty Crocker supermoist yellow cake mix
oil and eggs to make cake as directed
Preheat oven to 350....melt butter in 9x13 pan IN OVEN
sprinkle with sugar and spread evenly. Top with slices
Place a cherry inthe center of each slice, then put cherries
around each slice pressing gently into the sugar and butter.
Add enough water to the reserved pineapple juice to
measure 1 1/4 cups. Add to dry cake mix along with required
oil and eggs...mix to form batter, pour into pan carefully.
Bake 40-45 mins. Toothpick inserted into cake should come
out clean. Take out of oven and run a knife along the edge of
the cake to loosen. Flip onto a plate and remain inverted for
a good 5 mins. Cool slightly and serve warm.
