Shoo-fly Pie

½ cup molasses                             ½ cup water               1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup flour                                      ½ cup brown sugar    ¼ cup lard (or shortening)
¼ teaspoon cinnamon unbaked 8” pie shell
Combine the molasses, water and baking soda. Put into the pie shell. In another bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar and lard into a crumbly mixture. Spread evenly over the top. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 375 for 35 minutes.
