Zucchini Chocolate Chip Cupcakes

½ cup softened butter                         ½ cup oil OR applesauce
1 ¾ cups sugar                                  2 eggs, beaten
½ cup milk                                        1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups flour                                    ¼ cup baking cocoa
1 teasp baking soda                           ½ teasp salt
½ teasp cinnamon                              2 cups shredded zucchini
¼ cup mini chocolate chips                 ¼ cup chopped pecans
Cream butter, oil and sugar. Beat in eggs, milk and the vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, soda, salt and cinnamon. Gradually add  to the creamed mixture. Fold in the zucchini and the chocolate chips.
Fill paper-lined muffin tins 2/3 full. Top with the pecans. Bake at 375  for 20-25 minutes. Cool ten minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Makes 2 dozen
