1/2 pound butter                       3 cups of sugar              3 cups of flour

1/2 teasp baking powder         1/2 cup of crisco shortening

5 large eggs                               1 cup of milk                  1/2 teasp salt

2 teasp real vanilla                    1/4 teasp mace

Cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy.....add eggs, one

at a time, beating well after each one.  Add in the dry ingredients

alternately with the milk.  Blend well.  Bake in a well greased and

floured bundt pan.  Bake at 325 for 75 mins.  Cool 5 mins in the

pan, then turn onto a rack to cool completely.  Dust with powdered

sugar if desired.
