2 strips of bacon, fried crisp and crumbled 6 boneless pork chops
1 large onion, sliced 1/2" thick 4 apples, cored/peeled, 1/2" slices
1 envelope golden onion soup mix 1 cup apple juice
In a Dutch oven, keep the bacon grease, brown the chops on both sides, then remove
to keep warm. Add in the onion and cook, stirring until golden, about 4-6 mins.
Add in the apple slices and cook, stirring for 3-4 minutes. Combine the dry soup mix
with the apple juice....stir into the onions and apples and blend well....continue cooking
and stirring until it comes to a boil. Return the chops to the dutch oven, pushing down
slightly into the mixture. Cover and bake at 350 for 45 mins or until chops are tender.
Serve garnished with the crumbled bacon.
