1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts            1 pound head of fresh broccoli, cut into 1/2" florets

1/2 cup mayonnaise             1 Tablsp balsamic vinegar               1/2 teasp salt

1/4 teasp fresh grd black pepper                   1/2 cup golden raisins         

1/4 cup sliced green onions - white & green parts                   Preheat oven to 350

Spread the walnuts in a single layer on a baking sheet.  Bake until fragrant and golden,

about 4 minutes.  Take out of the oven and let cool.  Bring a large pot of salted water to

a boil.  Have a bowl of ice water ready.  Drop the broccoli into the boilnig water and cook

for 1-2 minutes until crisp tender.  Use a slotted spoon to remove the broccoli to the ice

water to stop the cooking process.  Drain well and place in a large bowl.

In a small bowl, combine mayo, vinegar, salt and pepper.  Spoon over the broccoli and mix

well.  Add the walnuts, raisins and onions.  You can also add some pine nuts if desired.
