2 vidalia onions, thinly sliced 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 Tablsp melted butter 4 oz. cream cheese, cubed
1/2 cup sour cream salt and pepper
In a slow cooker stoneware, combine onions, garlic and butter.
Toss well to ensure onions are thoroughly coated. Place a clean
tea towel, folded in half over top of the crock to absorb the
moisture. Cover and cook on high for 5 hours....stirring 2-3 times
during this time frame, replacing the towel each time, until the
onions are nicely caramelized. Transfer mixture to a food processor
and add remaining ingredients and process until well blended.
Put in a serving dish and garnish with chives. Serve with potato chips.
