16 cups peeled, chunked tomatoes               1 1/2 teasp. allspice

2 Tablsp grd cinnamon                                 1 1/2 teasp ground cloves

1 cup diced onions                                   1 cup diced green bell peppers

Cook all together at a simmer, uncovered for three hours....stirring

occasionally.  During the last 5-10 minutes, add in:

1 cup vinegar (white or apple cider)

1 cup granulated sugar

3 Tablsp salt

Mix well.  Continue cooking and stirring.....Put into hot jars, seal.

To make sloppy joes:   Cook 1 pound of hamburger, add in 1 quart jar of

this sauce.   Cook together for 25-30 minutes, stirring often.   Delish!
